December and full year sales results; 6,167 Genesis

So Hyundai sales were down -14% for 2008. That is a lot less than Toyota, GM, Ford or Chrysler! December was ugly though being down -48%.

Genesis sales were only down slightly versus November at 1,040 units for the month. Azera and Tiburon are on life support. You have to ask how many potential Azera customers switched to a Genesis. Also I don't think anyone is buying Tiburon anymore waiting for the coupe...

I saved the spreadsheet as a JPG attachment but dont have a URL to upload as an in-line image. Anyone?

Something weird with the Entourage minivan in December. I checked the numbers but apparently it is correct per Hyundai website... 3,065 minivans in one month compared to 584 the month before - maybe they mated with that VW Routan?

Somebody already posted these numbers in two other threads - but it's certainly nice to have them set as their own discussion. Maybe we should merge all the sales report discussions into one - or start a new one and STICK it to the top of a forum. This is good information to know.

Yes, the Azera has lost sales to the Genesis. It's kind of obvious. And Tiburon buyers are certainly waiting for the Genesis Coupe..
