Deciding on a Genesis 3.8

You can turn the LED on with the parking lights mode. There is no easy way to modify. The wiring harness is different between 2015 and 2016 and the computers are programed differently. I was a little butt hurt about too it but I just cruise around in parking light mode.

Someone made a good point on here a while ago... EVERYONE and I MEAN EVERYONE has LED DRLs now. Not many cars have amber DRLs these days. Kind of unique if that's your thing.

BTW.. I have a shiny new trunk emblem I no long need........ since I bought a 2015

I already bought a trunk emblem lol because I thought I was buying this car. The 2015 uses a different emblem?

The 2015 already has the "wings" in 2016 they went back to a Hyundai logo for whatever reason. They went back to the "wings" 2017+

They will be coming up on the market shortly but they will be higher priced.

Alright well I’m steering towards a 2015 5.0 now. I’ll just use the parking lights while I’m cruising since DRL led is not available.

My 2015 5.0 had the Genesis logo on the trunk when I bought it. However, I do not know if it came that way stock. Someone could have swapped the logos before I bought it.

All the 2015/2016 Genesis came with Hyundai logos from the factory on the trunk. A LOT of dealers took it upon themselves to swap badges since Hyundai was/is making the upmarket push and it basically costs them 10 bucks to do it. Just bought a 2015 CPO and had a 2009 CPO, both came Genesis badges. And based on the phone numbers left in both headunits, my 2009 was owned by an Indian gentleman and my 2015 was owned by a lady. I'd say both unlikely to have swapped the badges themselves, LOL

The SPORT has Ultimate trim. Not sure of other variations available.

Not exactly. The 5.0 is a model trim that comes with the technology package standard in additional to a larger engine,19in wheels, and active suspension. The 5.0 has to be upgraded to the ultimate package to get the higher end sound system and power trunk same as the V6 models.
