  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've been invited to a Customer Appreciation event at my Lexus dealer for tomorrow. They'll be have valet parking, gifts and prizes.

Should I be nice and drive my SC430 or not so nice and take the Genny?

Take Genny. This way, they will think you are serious about buying a Lexus.
If you take the SC430, they will only try to get you to buy one that costs even more.

BTW, will they have food at the Customer Appreciation event? :D

One way Hyundai can sell cars that equal - if not outdo - Lexus for many thousands of dollars less is not to waste money on such foolishness. My dealer doesn't have a fancy showroom or caviar to serve, but it's a fine place to do business. The dealer's is not where I want to spend any more time than I have to...:D

Who invited you Lexus or Hyundai?

Since you know the answer always be polite and don't try to embarrass anyone.

Would you bring the Lexus to a Hyundai appreciation day?

Although I agree with you that I personally couldn't care less what my dealer has to offer after I purchase the car, marketing tactics like this is a pretty smart move, IMO.
Lexus is trying to make their current customers to return for another Lexus in the future.
By offering a Lexus owners exclusive event, they feel appreciated. And that's very good marketing.
