  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Couldn’t get out of the way so straddled it and held on for dear (heh) life. Seemed to be ok, no vibrations or sounds of things dragging so I carried on until I could pull off. Took a look and was surprised to see the front bumper was fine, no dripping fluids, only that I could see the oil filter access panel and as hanging. Continued on and when I stopped for gas, went to the bathroom and then noticed the damage to the rear bumper. Outside of plenty of forensic evidence, this seems to be it so I’m trying to identify what all I lost. From the diagram, definitely need 15 and 23, but wondering about something’s like 18 or 22 that I don’t immediately see.

Sorry to hear about your deer encounter.

Did you crawl under the car and look around? If not, you should, because there could be structural damage. Every part is relative to another part on new cars and a seemingly harmless weakness in a part may actually be essential to stabilizing the vehicle.

Be sure to take a look from the ground. ;)

Hopefully, the OP has since contacted his insurance company to let them handle this. Isn’t that what the owner of a luxury vehicle would normally do?
