  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

4 Days 290 miles, and already hit...
The usually responsible fellow who works for me carelessly backed my boss's M37x (60 days old) into my Genesis, flattening my front plate bracket and creasing the front bumper. I was less than pleased. The damage is minor but noticeable. Of course that is not the point...The M37x bumper now sports a pair plate screw dimples.
Not quite sure when I will speak to him again.

I would feel less bad about this if I did it myself. I hate carelessness!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Bummer for sure.

Sorry to here. So your boss's car insurance will have to pay to fix your car and his is more than likely under the deductable. What a pi***r

The boss is on the hook for all of it.
My Genny is company owned. I need to take it to a body shop to get it estimated. I need to take it to hyundai to have them check the sensor and the adaptive cruise to make sure they are ok. They seem ok, but I want to make sure they are not damaged.

4 Days old really?!?!?!
Gotta go puke now.

at least you KNOW what happened. it is waaaaay worse to come out see the damage and not know wth just happened (like my 6 mos old '10 Yukon denali while on vacation in florida!!)

it'll be just fine (that's what everyone says to me as my '11 sits in the body shop having 2 doors sprayed)...

This story is nothing compared to others posted in this forum.

About 2 years ago a man and his wife drove to a Hyundai dealer to pick up their brand new Genesis. There was no trade-in, so the husband drove the Genesis home and the wife followed him in their Corvette (I believe it was a Vette, but don't remember exactly). It was raining a bit, and the husband had to stop suddenly, and he got rear-ended by his wife. Both cars suffered significant damage. Pictures were posted on this forum if you find them.

Must have been an interesting conversation with their insurance agent.

Yeah, that story was awful. It can be found HERE.

Still... sorry about your baby. :(

I've had my Genny for only 3 months, and twice at the local gym I've had damage - same place each time. Some wankers have scraped the area behind the rear wheel (drivers side ), removing paint and leaving heavy marks. Appears they have done it when backing out. I park away from most of the other cars - but it still happened .... and twice. Different paint from the offending car each time - red was the latest. Buggers.

See?? I *KNEW* no good could come from going to a gym!

I am guessing that you are British or of some colonial extraction?

OK, maybe it's time for my defiled story. Picked up my new 2011 4.6 on Easter sunday. Drove it for 2-1/2 weeks. 700 miles total on the car. I work for the local school district and my car was parked in the staff lot. A 16 year old student was moving his car after school and hit the gas instead of the brake...hit the Genny so hard in the rear bumper it forced both front wheels over the curb stop. Car parked next to mine had it's door open so it also clipped the drivers rear door on it's short "journey". Bodily harm and death came to mind after he found me and I surveyed the damage. It has been at the body shop for a month. His insurance is paying for the whole repair, rental deal. All the pieces are back together but the one of the front wheels isn't within factory specs for alignment. They are going to start replacing suspension parts. In the meantime, I've driven the rental, a 2010 VW bug, farther then I've driven my new Genesis. USAA is his insurance company and I've already talked to them about diminished value. They sent me a check for $150.62. It's going to be a long summer...

Aussie. The Genny is not even available there. So when people ask "So what do you like about living in the States?" I've got a easy (and honest) answer.

I am guessing that they don't even make a right side driver version.
