  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Deleting XM favorites - presets

I'm guessing that you do not delete them, but rather replace them with other stations, or duplicate stations.

I think you're right - you never really delete presets - just set an unused frequency or channel as a blank.

The manuals are driving me nuts - took me an hour to figure out to set presets on the fm band - gave up on deleting them.

The manual(s) follow a pattern - they show a picture of a screen with an index listing each component of that screen. BUT - they fall way short on simply telling you how to actually DO things.

I'm wondering if anyone has an update to this. I bought a 2016 Equus last year and really love the car. I use XM a lot. The previous owner was an idiot apparently. I have channels that I absolutely hate, and there are 15-20 presets in each XM directory. Previous owner has hip-hop, country, classical, rap, romantic, sports, news, the list goes on and on and on in each directory. HELP!!!!

I have 5 that I listen to. If I had a radio with 15 presets that I did not like, I'd overwrite them 1,2,3,4,5 and then 1,2,3,4,5 again
If no one here has a better answer, call SiriusXM. They may be able to send a signal to wipe it clean.
