  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Finally a very pretty day he in the Charlotte area. I had today off, so I decided to wash, strip, clay bar, polish, wax and scotch guarded the carpets and floor mats. Also added wings front and rear, removed "Genesis" and replaced it with "BH 380'.

Nice work, nice car enjoy

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Thank you. It took a while, but I enjoy doing the work myself.

nice and clean looking Gennie.
i'm tempting to debadge or remove the "Genesis" myself too.
How difficult was it may I ask?
What did you use? Fish line or dental floss?

videopho, very easy. "glide" dental floss. I had my wife hold a hair drier over the lettering and I slowly rocked the floss back and forth until they all fell off. Cleaned her up with some goof-off and that was it. No worries!

Nice looking car. I must ask though, what does the "BH" stand for :)

In Korea, the car is the Genesis BH380, BH460, etc. It is not the Hyundai Genesis in Korea. That is why the Korean version has those wings all over (instead of flying H) and that is where we get them from (importers buy the wings as OEM parts in Korea and then sell them in USA).

Lookin good!

In addition the BK380 is the designated name for the coupe version in S Korea since both share the same V6 Lamda engine configuration.
I thought there are a lot of Hyundai's that use the Lambda V6, such as Azera and some of the SUV's, and even the Equus in Korea.

With the help of a hair dryer and a dental floss.
All it took was five minutes for the GENESIS logo to come off rather easily.
Washed her afterwards, polished the area the logo once was and here now the pic to show off;).
It looks less cluster which is exactly the way I wanted my Gennie's rear-end to look.:).

K.I.S.S : KEEP IT SIMPLE & SEXY :D

Thinking about moving the r-spec logo to the left of 5.0 which I think will add to the more balanced look.
What y'all say to that?

Good looking car, videopho!!

I would either get rid of both the 50 and the Rspec... or just the 50

I think the subtlety of the Rspec on the black would look great.

or go stealth... and take both off.

I did htat with a 540 Sport Touring (station wagon) and took off the 540 badging... every ricer on the planet wanted to have a go at me for some reason.

I painted a set of 540 badges in flat black (car was aspen silver - a grey color with black trim - no chrome on the sport) and placed in the correct location... the challenges stopped...

Those were my younger days when I would accept the challenge... or go to "drivers education" events with the Porsche Club / BMW clubs... ahh the good old days.

I am considering taking the "GENESIS" off of the rear and leaving just the 4.6. I think it will be subtle.

I like that idea videopho

Actually I did consider taking only the 5.0 off and leave the r-spec alone at one time.
Was the 4.6 ever offered with the r-spec badge?

I am not sure, but I advise you to choose very carefully. The future of Western Civilization depends on your decision.
