  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Detail and debadging the Genny

Ha ha...
Because when it comes to think of it.
Taking the r-spec log off the trunk lid is a piece of cake.
Once it is off basically it would go to the trash can anyway. Or is it?
Putting it back on is another story and I certainly do not want to spend $39 bucks to get a brand new one off eBay in which it may take forever to get to this side of the ocean.
I'm leaving it the way it is for now to see how it goes which gives me sometime to chew on this idea.

Thanks for all the responses or advices (good, bad or ill) :) :) :)

3M makes an emblem tape just for that purpose.

Your local autobody shop should have some that they probably would give you since the emblem is small.

If not, then Wally's has it!

Debadged the "genesis" from the trunk, but kept the 4.6... like the look.

I am still seeing a "ghosting" around where the "GENESIS" lettering was... any suggestions?

Mine did have that ghosty look too.
Get a fairly strong polisher such as Griot's polish type (number 3).
Then just puff it out wih microfibre towel.
Top it off with a wax solution.

When done. It just looks as good as new.
