Basically, you can buy better than a CPO warranty for a used car for less than usual difference between CPO cars for sale and used cars for sale, so long as the used car is under 10,000 miles
The price difference online seems to be about $1500 and the internet guides about CPO cars say it comes with a roughly $2000 higher price. But factory manufacture extended warranty that comes from Hyundai Corporation can be bought and priced at www.mygenesisprotection.com. For a used, non-CPO GV80 with <10,000 miles, the 10year/100,000 mile bumper to bumper Platinum plan cost $2400 (which could be negotiated down if you go to a dealer to buy it). Above 10,000 miles it jumps to $3600 which is less reasonable and this doesn't really work.
So you regain the 10year/100,000 powertrain warranty, plus get bumper-to-bumper Platinum for 10 years/100,000 miles (which also, I think?, covers more than the standard new warranty, since it extends to other thing).
So if you're planning on getting an extended warranty already, then it's makes more sense to get the used car at a little better price.
Do I have this right?
