  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I thought I read in a brochure or similar that the Genesis sedan came with a cargo net for the trunk. Did anyone's car come with a cargo net.
Canadian car, but I don't think that matters.

thanks

I just picked mine up on Wednesday and it had a cargo net in the trunk

Mine did

Mine did but it was a line item on the bill so I assume it's an add-on of some kind. I think $25 dollars

mine did too but for some reason I think I installed it wrong...anyone have a pic of there install?

I had an Azera before I bought my Genesis. The Azera came with a cargo net basically identical to the Genesis', except that there were hooks mounted high on each side of the trunk so the middle loops on the net could attach, forming a "tent" mounted transversely across the trunk. You could put your groceries, etc., between the net and the trunk lip so they wouldn't shift around. The Genesis lacks these mid connection hooks so the net lies flat on the floor. I just pick it up and stuff the groceries under it - it works just as well as the tent arrangement but is slightly less convenient to use. I've gotten used to it, so it doesn't really make much difference. It's better than having a bag of oranges tip over and roll all over the place.

yes I got one in the trunk did not use it yet--was it free ? I have no idea ,I was so happy to get my color that I just paid the price they asked for ...

No, from North Carolina, but we negotiated one with the purchase of our 2009 Genesis Sedan with tech/prem pkg.

I was in a sealed bag in the trunk when mine was delivered. I would ask dealer to supply at no charge. I t cost them $4 tops

Cargo Net was included with my 3.8 at no charge.

There are two ways to use the net. There are hooks and Round 'Clips' on either side iof the trunk that allow you to use the net as a sort of trough to hold shpping bags etc at the back (rear of car) of the trunk. Or, you can fix it horizontally across the truck floor to hold down bags or suitcases, with a single net layer vertically across the back so you can hold objects (eg. washer fluid) against the rear lip of the trunk to stop them flying around.

Double-check the spare tire area for extras like the cargo net. That's where mine was - just a dinky plastic bag.

There are black plastic hooks behind the tail lamps plus floor mounted hooks that I use for the net. It forms a long skinny U-shaped pocket this way for small items. The corner hangers of the net go to the black plastic hooks, the center of each side of the net hooks to the floor.

Another trick I've seen folks use (on other cars without nets) is to run a bungee cord through the handles of typical grocery plastic bags and clip the bungee to something on either side of the trunk. Keeps things upright and keeps them from moving around.

My car came with the heavy rubber trunk floor liner too - nothing slides on it. It grips as well car tires to pavement! My dealer had to trade/get my car from another local dealer... that one had added a few accessories but nobody removed them prior to delivery (and yes, they knew about them); didn't cost me extra since we'd previously agreed to a total price.

iPod cable, trunk tray(rubber mat), cargo net, front plate bracket were all included at no extra cost.

I second the "look in the spare tire area" post. I've heard that many times on other posts here.

Toronto, 2010 Tech V6 came with cargo net, ipod cable, and window tint at no extra charge. cargo net was in the spare tire area.

Mine came with one, no line item bill and was not on the window sticker. 2010 Genesis 3.8L with premium and tech package.

thanks to everyone for the answer. I talked with my dealer and he went and checked the others he had in stock and they had cargo nets in the trunk cavity, so when I get back in town, he'll have one for me:)
