  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Thanks for the definition....and our Gens (assuming you own one) don't have that feature. Maybe a feature for a future edition....

i cant own one yet, since i only have a permit, but in 3 months i'll be living my dream.

Active Cruise Control & cooled passenger seat are on the KDM versions only. Maybe here in 2010.

Thanks for the help, Ric. By the way, wondering why it's not in the US yet...do you think it has something to do with insurance regulations?

I don't think that's the reason as it's been available in the US from Infiniti for a few years

Yep. . . . . .had this on the M35. Nice feature. Sort of surprised me the first time I test drove the Genesis that the car didn't have ICC. In a couple of the reviews I read, they all talked about the ICC feature. Oh well, maybe that will be on a model in the next couple of years as part of the tech package. A must have? Only if you spend tons of time on the highway and can actually use cruise control. I rarely used it in the M. But when I did, it worked flawlessly.

Not available on U.S version to keep costs down, same w/pass seat warmer/cooler, etc. If Hyundai tacked on all the bells & whistles that the KDM version has, the price point would have been much higher & closer to the prestigous brands, thus giving us cheap Americans less of a reason to puchase the Genesis over the MBs & BMWs. That's part of the reason that the Koreans had to pay so much more for their Genesis'

Once the Genesis gets its foothold in the American market, I'm sure Hyundai will offer these extra amenities or have an upgraded pkg w/them in it, although it will cost more. First, enough people have to own, drive, or ride in these cars to see that they are every bit as good as the competition. Then American consumers will be more willing to pay close to $50 grand for loaded Genesis that has every thing that the competition has. IMO, Hyundai will have to branch off with their own Genesis luxury brand, allowing them to have seperate sales/svc depts that will be better able to accomodate the customers that expect a little more than the avg Hyundai dealership is able to provide.
