• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

First off, let me make clear that I don't own an R-Spec, and can't afford to buy one right now. I did however enjoy watching this video review and picking out the differences I could identify (thanks scottdk for the youtube reference I nabbed from the R-spec thread):

Here are the differences I noticed between that vehicle and mine (not intended to be all-inclusive):

  1. The headlights and taillights (obviously)
  2. Wheels and tires (duh)
  3. The automatic side mirrors
  4. Lane departure system (vs. just the automatic cruise control)
  5. The sunglass case is soft touch!!! (Mine snaps open like a mousetrap causing my sunglasses to fall out!)
  6. Rear-seat heaters
  7. Color center information display
  8. What was that emergency thing in the Nav?

Other changes include the retuned suspension, 8 speed trans, new exhaust styling, new rocker panel styling, and I believe the R-Spec has different tuning to the power steering (heavier feel). And of course there's the 5.0 motor. And I'm not sure if this was on the '10 V8 Tech or not, but someone mentioned their Genesis had a traditional foot operated parking brake, but the '12 has a push-button brake with auto-release.

Yeah I have a push-button brake as well. You're right about the other differences, I guess I should have included those. I guess I was looking at less-mechanical ones (for lack of a better term).

I own an r-spec and every time I take off from a red light I have to peel my eyes off the back of my skull.... This car SCREAMS down the road !!!!!

:)
