  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I use dimmer switch to the left of the steering wheel to dim dashboard lighting. I find I can't get it to stay in a lower setting, in a day or two it reverts back to the highest brightness. Any way to make a lower setting more permanent

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I noticed this also however it may be tied into the memory function of the seats. Need to experiment a little more to see what is causing this.

You hit the nail on the head Midnightsun...

Mystery solved. Never thought it was tied to driver memory seat settings, but does make sense. Thank you :)

This should probably go in the "Like" thread ...

... one of the things I like most about our believed new charabancs is that almost every time one of us - FREQUENTLY ME - has a "Peeve" or annoyance over a way the tech on the car works ... it FAR-more-likely-than-not turns out to be a FEATURE not a bug! i.e. when you find explanation in manual or a savvy Forum member explains it, you're like all, "WOW that SO actually makes sense; how cool!"

+1 :)

Anyone found a way to dim the interior lights when opening a door? There is enough light inside these cars at night to film a TV commercial when a door is opened . With a likely 'no' as the answer what lower wattage bulbs can be substituted for the factory solar flares that come with the car and are those lamps tough to get at?

There was a thread here earlier of those who thought there was NOT enough light and were replacing with LED's. I believe they listed the type of bulb.
