  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does anyone know if it's possible to dim or turn off the navigation screen ?
Driving at nite with nothing turned on is very annoying.

In the system settings menu, you can turn the brightness level to barely visible by turning the controller.

You can also turn the display off completely, if that's what you want.

I'd like to have a complete BLACK screen but the nav still stays backlit.

There's a menu command to turn the screen completely off, I think it's under one of the settings menus in the Info screen. You may have to do it every time you get int he car, though.

I'm fine with just leaving the screen on the auto day/night mode, where it reverses to white on black when the headlights are on.

The brightness of the screen can be set to automatically go from "Daylight" to "Night" when the headlight come on (if they are set to automatic" the problem is that the difference is poor in other words to have it bright enought to see in theday it is still too bright at night or if you set thenight setting dim enough it is not bright enough to see in the day.

NOW IF anyone knows how to get aroundthis problem or if a TSB has been issued forthis I would really like to Know. thx
