Ding, Volume mutes upon acceleration

2022 GV70 Prestige. When Apple Carplay is begin used, when stopped, upon acceleration there is a "ding', whatever I am listening to is muted, then resumes sometime later. The only way I have found to unmute is to push the "phone" icon as to initiate a call and the push the "end" button. Then the volume will resume. Also I have noticed the when muted the screen will sometimes say "Siri is active" I have tried turning off Siri on my iphone, but the problem persists. Anyone else have this problem? Solution? Thanks!
