Display Problem on 2010 sedan

My Genesis is a 2010 base sedan. The display turns on but is blank or shows a gray grid. The dealer claims that it is a radio defect and want’s more than $1000 to install a replacement.

The radio works. Is the display part of the radio? If not, it should be covered under the 5year/60,000 mile warranty.

Any suggestions? Any good replacement radios?

I'm pretty sure electronics are warranted for only 36 months/36K miles:

The head unit on my 2010 Premium went out after 36 months, but I had the Platinum extended warranty and it was covered.
