  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

After 2-years of trouble free ownership, I noticed my distance units were being displayed in Km instead of miles.
I reset it back to miles and they spontaneously changed to Km a week or so later. I reset the units to miles and
a week or so later they were still showing miles BUT my temperature units were being displayed in C instead of F.
I reset it back to F and it spontaneously switched to C a few days later. Oddly, the distance units have remained at miles.
I'm aware of the "quick" method of switching between miles and Km but I was very careful not to press the climate keys in that sequence
after the first miles to Km change. I have no idea if there is a "quick" way to switch between F and C.
Is/has anyone else experiencing this spontaneously switching?

I have a '26 GV70 with the 27" display. About two weeks ago I noticed that the temperature reading on the "right" side of the display (the infotainment portion), which shows on the Home Screen, had changed to C, while the temperature reading in the gauge cluster portion still showed F. I went to settings to toggle between the two and it seemed to fix it. Not sure why it changed on its own though.

thanks for that reply. At least I know I'm not the only one that has happened to.

Just noticed that same thing F to C yesterday in 1 week old 2026.. weird..

Same thing here - happens once or twice a month lately...

I have the same issue with my 2025 GV70. My car configuration changes randomly from Celsius to Fahrenheit. It never changes back from F to C on its own no matter how long I leave it. When I reset it manually, it may stay for 1 month or 1 day but it eventually changes again from C to F.
No updates on my end. I'm running infotainment software version from May 2025.

I read somewhere that deleting and re-creating a new driver profile may fix this. I tried and it did not work. As a metter of fact, it probably made it worse cause the setting now seems to change more frequently than before.
I read that the November 2025 update fixes this known issue but I am unable to download that version from the Genesis Canada site.
I purchased my car in May 2025 - What a bad first experience. Unable to update - Dealer has no clue about this issue - No public acknowledgement.

So far the technology support is not very solid from Genesis. From the iPhone app to the website, nothing works smoothly.
The user experience is not great and basic items are not intuitive to find. I hate to admit that all their competitors offer a better technology experience (at least it works).
The iPhone app works 50% of the time when I request a basic command like "Lock Doors" or "Start Vehicle". 50% of the time I get an execution error: "A server is unavailable to complete your request" or "Your request failed to complete".
I've also trying booking service appointments twice on both the website and the app and I get ZERO response from this channel.
I end up having to call my dealership directly to find out that my request for an appointment is nowhere to be found.

Shame that such a great car has such a bad technology support experience.
