Does anybody know what the 'formula' for the Genesis sedan distance to empty (DTE) display is?
Let's see here:
- fill up car (which hadn't been on a long trip in a long time) on Saturday, it says ~550km DTE
- drive car mostly on the highway on Sunday, DTE slowly goes down from ~530km to ~400km maybe (even though way more than that was driven), then goes up to ~6xx km when the gas tank is filled
- drive car back on Tuesday, DTE goes steadily down, fill car up, now it says 720km.
As far as I can tell, it doesn't base DTE on your CURRENT driving and fuel burn, but instead on historical fuel burn over a long time in the past. And DTE never goes up, only down.
Anybody noticed this, too?
