  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Do any of you have the Korean/European front tag?

Hey everybody! I was cruising to Birmingham last night to visit some friends who recently had a baby. While driving down, I noticed a Beamer behind me with a German tag on the front of the car. I thought to myself...now thats pretty sweet!!

I remember when I purchased my Genny that I had the option for them to install a replica european style tag on the front and I declined the $100 option.

Now that I have seen what it really looks like...I think I like it!!! HA

Do any of you owners have one? Know where I could get one? Of course, I think it would be silly to have a Great Britain or German tag when my car is Korean...but I cant seem to find a Korean tag anywhere.

Let me know your thoughts!

Have you tried ebay? I pooked around quickly and saw a few. Not sure if it is what you are looking for. Worth a shot and certainly less the $100!

Yeah, I looked there but most of them were for Germany, France...etc. The only Korean tags were the small "veteran" tags.

I'm looking for the rectangle shaped ones.

The $100 dealer price included the painted to match bracket. I suppose the bracket fits in the other set of little spots on our front bumpers.

Thanks Moose!

I wouldn't mind something like that, but alas, Maryland mandates a front license plate. My vanity plate is ok, but the euro style would look better.

I assume that is the European delivery program for BMW? You order the car (made to US specs) and pick it up in Germany and then BMW helps you ship it back to US when you finish your European vacation.

You are going to end up with a hole in your bumber if you decide to take it off. Also, front plates get really dirty with bugs, etc.

Well, after a boring day at work and nobody needing my services..which is good...i spent most of the company's money searching for tags. HA!

I found this site: http://www.customeuropeanplates.com/usa-european-license-plates-c-35.html which is COOL!!

I thought about getting the Alabama tag with TAU V8 using the little A and U symbols.

Somebody give me your thoughts on what to say!!

ps: I noticed that they can do BULK orders! Individually, they cost about 62.85 shipped. with the bulk order its $38.80 shipped which includes the universal frame.

Let me know if anybody is interested. Also, they can all be different!!!

Funny you mentioned that, my BIG boss returned from Germany a few weeks ago with his 535i. Showed pictures and all. What an experience! (and an EXPENSIVE one at that!!)
