I'm a bit confused about that, I know the Genesis website shows a recommended maintenance schedule at certain miles numbers, it is useful overall but it doesn't account to the case where you have missed the previous packages at the earlier miles.
For example, I had my first service at around 4800 miles and I only got an oil change and tire rotation, now I have around 8000 miles, when I try to schedule an appointment it gives me packages options for 8000, 7500 and 6000 miles. Each one of these has different services and inspections, wouldn't it make sense to combine them rather than skip the services that you have missed?
Also, it shows the price you will pay for each package, is that price what you will actually pay regardless of the warranty?
One more weird thing I have just noticed, according to Genesis I have the severe conditions and therefore a recommended maintenance every 3750 miles.
On the Genesis website my odometer displays 7,539 miles. My last service was at 4,796 miles. (4796 + 3750) = 8,546. So 1,007 miles away. However, it's saying my next maintenance is 3,789 miles away.
That number doesn't make any sense to me as it is literally saying my recommended maintenance is at 3750 miles. The only way that number makes any sense is if you do (7539 - 3789) which gives you 3750 miles? Either they messed up their calculations somewhere or something is going over my head lol
It seems like my dealership has finally added the option to pick up and return my vehicle for the service. The only thing I wanted to ensure was the oil change quality, they have used synthetic blend on my first oil change and I'd like I full synthetic this time. Can I just request that in the service request section? I have no idea if that will void the complimentary part of the oil change, should I add something like "Please use full synthetic, I will pay if this is not covered under the complimentary oil change. " ?
Thanks !
