  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Do you use your Genesis as a daily commuter or a weekend car?

Hyundai Genesis - comfortable daily driver, or special weekend vehicle? How do you use yours?

Mobile office. More than 3,500 miles per month.

Daily driven! 15k-20k miles a year is typical for me.

Daily. About 100 miles a day on average.

Pleasure only as I am retired and wifey has her own ride. Bought it in December of 2012 and it just passed 11,000 miles.

Daily, although my commute is usually just 10 miles round trip to the bus stop and back in the evening.

Daily work car. This car will see around 40k per year. However I get mileage reimbursed so I am being compensated for the hit on the car value.

Weekend and pleasure drives only. No commuting or trips to the mall. Car has only seen rain and snow from inside the garage. I love the fine lines of this body style and don't want to wear it out too soon (unless the next Equus or 3rd generation Genesis looks better). I love cars. My Camaro only has 21k miles on it and is 42 years old and it still turns heads. It also has never seen rain or snow.

Weekender.
Only 3000 miles in the last 9 months.

I pretty much just use mine on the weekends and I store it during the winter. I figure I'd skip driving it to work DT Mpls since I'll be certain to receive door dings from people. Plus works a buzz kill, so why bother with the Genesis to or from work:cool:

Purchased January of 2009 and just hit 44,500 miles.

Sonata = town car

Genesis = country car

My daily driver, I have had her 6 months and have already put 10,000 miles on her. Next week I'm driving up to Wyoming for a couple days for a shooting competition, my Genny will be putting in 2500 miles in 7 days.

Whoa, everyone seemed to gloss over this bit. This is amazing. Must see pictures of this car and a list of model details.

Let the grenades fly to the target with the Mk19.. :) serious, that is on my bucket list. Already have thousands of rounds in M134 (which does not take long). Anyway, good luck at the competition.

I travel constantly for work and drive rental cars. had my 2013 for 25 months, and have just over 16k on her. Technically i only drive it on the weekends, because that is the only time I am home. It spends more time at the airport than my house
