  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just noticed that the cap on my 2021 G80 tire air valve stem says N2 on it. Hence the question.

If the caps are N2 and green, it would appear that they filled the tires with nitrogen. Best to check with your dealer.

Yes N2 and green. Nice surprise. I’ve heard Lexus charges $150 for it. ( But Costco $14)

Dealer option that you paid for. Big profit maker

Yes. That's how mine was delivered. I only add 78% N2 when I fill them up, normally.
Yes, me too. The 78% mix is more widely available.

I keep the 78% mix in my garage compressor.

The air is we breath is approximately 80% Nitrogen and 20% Oxygen. I have always considered it a funny gimic.

Actually, the air we breath is 78% nitrogen, 21% oxyge, and 1% other gases. Most new cars come from the factory with nitrogen in the tires, then dealers add whatever price they want to the window sticker. Dealers don’t deflate the tires and fill them with nitrogen. no matter what, any dealer telling you the tire is filled only with nitrogen is lying to you. Unless the tires were installed in a nitrogen filled room, there will be about 10-12% room air in the tire. If they deflate to remove the oxygen and reinflate with nitrogen, the residual in the tire after deflation is about 20%
