Does the 5 year 60,000 mile factory warranty transfer between owners.

Okay, so i bought a 2018 Genesis G90 used from carmax. I was wondering if the factory warranty transfers between owners. I know that the 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty does NOT transfer between owners unless you buy CPO directly from hyundai. But if I bought the car from carmax used and it has about 36,000 miles on it, could I take advantage of the rest of the factory warranty?

Thanks for your reply. Do I have to do anything to get it? Like sign paperwork to confirm change of ownership or anything? Or is that linked to Genesis Connected Services in which I already changed ownership there.

I think it is linked but you better check it out.

Given that an ‘18 Genesis could have first been sold in late ‘17, your 5/60 warranty will be expiring as soon as a year from now. Best to check in with your Hyundai/Genesis dealer and begin establishing a service record there. Get aquatinted and give them some business.
