  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So after looking at multiple demos and slightly used models all over I finally picked up a 2016 Black with Ivory 3.8 AWD ultimate with 1400 miles on it. Was also considering a CX-9 but the best offer I found on a loaded signature was still over 1k more than the Genesis and it was only a 4 banger without cooled front seats and no heated rear seats. Went on vacation the day after buying the Genesis so it sat in the garage for the past week and a half but yesterday I replaced the rear logo with the wings and got a coat of Chemical Guys JetSeal and 2 coats of Butter Wax on her. It’s clean as can be and looking for some snow to test out the AWD! Thanks to everyone who replied to all my other posts.

Congratulations, Ryan! Do you have any pictures yet?

Thank you! Very nice. Congratulations! Welcome to the 2G club. :)

Congrats. Now you'll get to experience strangers asking you what kind of car you have.

Smart to buy used. These cars have a high depreciation

Nice ryan. I am looking for close to the same thing. I drove a 2014 R spec 3.8. Never driven a car that felt so tight. Question.. Ultimates come with the R specs Bremo brakes. BUT, do they come with the R specs beefed up suspension do you know??

This could be wrong since it was told to me by a Hyundai dealer and I have realized that they all LIE and most of them have no clue what they are selling in terms of the Genesis and hell even my old Sonata. But I was told that the 2015 5.0 sedan had the upgraded suspension and after that year they changed it up for all the models 3.8 and 5.0 to use the basic suspension and not the continuous dampening due to the cost of repairs. Don't know about the coupes though. And again none of this may be true since a car salesman told me! LOL

That's an interesting enough discussion for it's own topic. Not many are going to see it in here. But very interesting...

Ryan, You got my car!!! Keep those seats clean! Mine was new. I did a clay bar, & treated with Jet Seal & a coat of Butter Wet Wax. I then did a coat of hybrid V7 & Jet black for the winter months. So far so good after 12,000 miles. Had the seats treated an just wipe them off monthly. Love the car!
