  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm in the process of selling my GV70 and decided to try Autotrader. I chose it because it's one of the larger market places for used vehicles. However their website lists GV70's incorrectly and they refused to acknowledge or fix it. Despite multiple communications and attempts with screenshots and highlighting and describing the issue.

Upon initial ad creation entering VIN before I paid for the listing it listed my 2023 GV70 3.5T Sport Prestige as a "3.5T Sport SUV". I noticed that was incorrect and noticed at the bottom of Ad creation it shows under accessory packages an area to select "Prestige Pkg". However this doesn't change the fact it's not an accessory package but a trim level.

I reached out to customer service and got an AI bot on the phone. Who actually was able to answer questions and communicating and it told me to purchase the Ad and call back and a ticket could be opened. I called back after and got another AI bot asked a few questions and hung up. A day or two passed and I called back and actually spoke to a real person. I presented my findings on GV70's listing incorrectly and they said they would escalate it to IT. A few days later I received the response attached. I since reached out one more time with additional evidence and have gotten nothing but crickets and have given up hope.

What's actually wrong with GV70's on Auto trader? Every single 3.5T GV70 Sport, Sport Advanced, Sport Prestige is listing as the "Sport" trim level. Some of the 2.5T listings are correct but many of those are wrong as well. This effects search from what I can tell but ALSO appraisal value and for instant cash offers.

I'm attaching all the screenshots and their response. Really not much more needs to be said anyone should be able to see all of these GV70's listed incorrectly. If you want more proof to go Autotrader's site and play with their searches and you'll see what I mean. GV80s list correctly and any other make and model that I looked at. It's only GV70's that are listing incorrectly.

Here is a Google Photo album with all the photos described.

I apologize this should be in the GV70 forum not G70. In my haste of typing this I selected the wrong forum. Could a mod please move it?

Further digging it wasn't just Autotrader that was listing my GV70 incorrectly. All car websites that I looked at listed every 3.5T GV70's incorrectly. Of the 3 different trim levels they have all of them are listed as "Sport". This affects all years that I can see 2022-2024+. Kelly Blue Book, Auto Trader, and Carfax. All of these sites have you select GV70 trim in "Features" yet no other make and model does this.

It is affecting instant cash offers and actual appraisal values. Kelly Blue Book values and instant cash offers and every appraiser that uses it. As well as all the websites that pull from KBB. CarFax trade in values as well as a in person appraisal Vauto. I've attached some more screenshots in the photo album. I bought my findings up to the appraiser and he was in deed confused at the amount when compared to other actual "Sport" trims. I've put a few feelers out to see if I can gather more info on how wide ranging this actually is.
