  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What is is with people? My wife and I went to a restaurant for lunch, and since someone put a door ding on my G80 only a month after I bought it in November, I have been parking way away from anyone. So I figured I was safe parking way out there. That light gray Nisson was not parked there. So, we come back after lunch, and he parked right next to me. I mean, there wasn't anywhere else you could park? SMH

I've seen that happen before. They know why you parked away and just want to show what a jackass they are.

Only time I got pissed is when someone would take two spot up close to the door making some old lady walk more.

I do the same thing for the same reason (park far away from people). I read a report once that herd mentality forces people unconsciously to seek shelter and comfort around others (safety in a pack). That's why people park beside us when there is lots of alternate room away from us. For those of us trying to preserve our body panels, this behaviour drives us crazy! But there is science to support it.

try to park along the very edge of a disabled parking spot.

Yes, good idea. I do that when I can. Also, I look for a parking space that's the last one in the lot that has a space beside it marked not parking, and I park as far as I can get to that.

You have to admit, that car is in a very safe space. A curb to the left, and a person who hates door dings to the right!

That's very true. LOL

I got my front fender scuffed up two weeks after I got my GV80. I got most of the white out, but the scruffs are still there. I plan on getting it ceramic coated and hope the person doing the work can also do something about that.
