  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

door lock

This has happened to us twice. The car locks with the Key inside. Not sure why this happens. The Dealer could not offer a solution. Battery is not that low. It had the ability of locking but would not open . Had to take a cab home to pick up a spare key. Anyone have any solutions how to avoid this.

Funny you should mention this. I inadvertently noticed something that may be old news to most of you but was surprising and useful to me.

I don't enjoy turning the car off when running to a store to grab something quickly, especially now because the car barely drives and when it does it's usually to run multiple short errands (ignition on and off multiple times). I don't enjoy an empty parking spot where my car used to be even more, so needed a solution to this.

Yesterday when I went to go pick up some food, I left the car running, hopped out, and locked it using the genesis connected services. Surprisingly it worked (didn't think it would). When I came back to it, like others have said, it would not unlock using the door or the key fob. Pulled out my phone, and unlocked it using the app, and viola I was on my way.

Very useful for quick stops where you don't want to turn the car off but are also afraid of car thieves. It's also a solution to your problem, use the app!

EDIT: Realized you don't own a g70 so your car may not have connected services.

Good solution. If you have the app you can put the Widgets on the screen to simplify it too.

Odd enough the canadian version of the app doesn't have widgets...
