  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Dot 4 Brake Fluid: is there anything significantly different between which brand to go with when doing a brake flush/bleed? (or just pick up any full synthetic Dot 4 brand at your local auto part store)?

I like/use Valvoline 601457 Dot 3 & 4 brake fluid. It is supposed to combine the best features of DOT 3 with DOT 4. It exceeds the specifications of both. Given Hyundai's issues with corrosion in the ABS modules, I feel like having the lower moisture absorption of the DOT 3 spec is a good thing.

That's my go-to for brake fluid too. Used it in my Jeep JL, my Tacoma, and my G70.

That's a solid choice for fighting corrosion. Good thinking.
