  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Down size rim/tire

Quickly skimming this - I have 2012 premium/tech V6, got aluminum 17" with the standard size 215s (two standard size 17s in manual) for winter. Yes the front brakes are pretty massive which is why alloy wheels only (not steel). I should post photo, but away from home right now.

Just checked the Porsche 911 Carrera S, which is rear engine and RWD, and even it has larger disk rotors in the front.

I've never heard of any vehicle with larger rear brakes.
When you brake, the center of gravity shifts forward, causing a shift in front\rear weight distribution. The front wheels have significantly more load on them under braking, so bigger brakes are used to make use of the weight shift, allowing for more stopping power.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Note: You will not be able to fit 17" steel wheels over the brakes, but there are many 17" alloys that will work.
Including the OEM 17" wheels from the Genesis Base Trim model. Not sure where you can get them in Canada at a decent price. They go for about $200 used in the US, and there are plenty for sale.
