If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Car parked in the garage for 6 weeks when I returned the driver side window would not come down. All 3 windows no issue, window worked prior no issues in the past. Ordered master power switch for replacement do I have to remove the panel or can I just pry the switch out? Will check fuse before I start. Is there a procedure to reset power windows?

To reset the power windows
If the power windows do not operate
normally, the automatic power window
system must be reset as follows:
1. Place the Engine Start/Stop button
to the ON position.
2. Close the window and continue
pulling up on the power window
switch for at least one second.
If the power windows do not operate
properly after resetting, have the
system checked by an authorized
retailer of Genesis Branded products.

Are you sure it is the switch? Could be the regulator.

EdP has a good question. Are you sure its the switch. My 15 sometimes sits for a couple months and will have a glitch now and again after initial start up!🤷‍♂️

Not sure if regulator or switch, prior to using vehicle all window functions worked great. Window was closed for long period and maybe just stuck, I’ll manually assist in lowering with someone pressing down button.
I’ll call dealer tomorrow and ask mechanic about issue. I’ve replaced regulator on wife’s MB, so I’ll probably DYI on this before paying $$$ for replacement if required.
Just curios if I have to remove panel to gain access to remove switch?
Thanks

I washed car the day before we left and wonder if moisture dried around window seal causing it to become stuck? Never had any issues prior, hard to believe regulator or switch just went bad with no usage?
Before making any repairs I’ll check fuses and contact mechanic and see recommendations, car has 59k under 60k wonder if warranty still good? Maybe I’ll be lucky, had 5 year warranty?

Did you try helping the window down ? After replaced my Battery my driver side window did not want to move at first. I don't remember what I did to get it to work again.

I never use the back windows. In one car, about 5 years old I hit the switch by mistake. Window went down but was dead. I took out the regulator and propped the window up with a stick. About a year later, opposite side window, same thing. Made another wood prop.

Ugh. My 2015 front windows are all messed up. Opened passenger window today and noticed it was sticking up 4" . Weird. So I pressed on it and it went down real slow. Now it slows down randomly going down. May be 1" sticking up, may be 4.. totally random. Drivers window doing the same. Going up is ok but I have to push it down to get it fully open.

Tried reset, no luck. Out of warranty too.
