  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey guys,

Just started having an issue unlocking the drivers side door. Whether it's the key fob, exterior handle function or the inside door panel unlock it seems to take 2-3 attempts to unlock. All the other doors function properly and the lock functions properly. Any ideas? Maybe a mechanical issue with the inside handle? It's not a huge issue just more annoying than anything at this point. When I insert the actual key it unlocks fine. I'm assuming this would be covered under warranty to fix? My factory warranty is still in place. Thanks for the help!

If it's under warranty, I'd definitely bring it in. It could be anything involving the handles, lock actuator, etc.

Just bring it into the dealership cause like you said, youre under warranty

Have seen a few other user post up the same issue with the button on the door handle. Pretty sure it had just run its course and was old but in your case sounds like a faulty part. Agree with others on having dealer take care of it under warranty.

Let us know what they did to fix the issue.

Just an update here, looks like it was a faulty actuator. Dealer ordered the part and it was replaced under warranty.

First in 3 Hyundai's I've owned I've needed to make a warranty claim it was handled quickly with no issues so I'm pretty pleased!
