  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone, hope you all are doing well. I recently damaged my LH Outside Rear View mirror due to negligence and it seems like I would have to replace it completely. I was looking on Ebay and couldn't find the exact match, can anyone please recommend me what will be the most logical and cost effective course of action for the replacement of the whole mirror assembly? I was able to find one online but it does cost over $513 at hyundaipartsdeal.com (Hyundai 87610-B1400). I also tried looking at junkyards near me to find the replacement. I do understand that I can go for cheaper options as a replacement that will be compatible but I would like to keep it as original or close to possible. This is my first time posting so I apologize if I made a mistake. I really appreciate y'alls guidance as I am relatively new. The color of genesis is white so I am looking for a white LH mirror, but I believe I can get it painted if I do find another color- however it might be hassle?
If anyone can guide me or help me find a replacement, I shall be extremely grateful!
Appreciate all the help, I am happy to be here with like minded people.
Have a great day everyone.

Do you just need the case? the motor, etc is still working? I replaced the gear in my 2016 but had to take it all apart to get to it - If the motor, etc is working, look for just the casing - 2015-2020 Hyundai Mirror Cover 87615-B1000 | Shop Hyundai Parts Online
The motor is working I think, can you please let me know how to check for that? The side mirror does fold in and out when I lock unlock the car. The LH blinker on the side mirror is also working. I believe I would need a mirror and cover since I am missing the mirror too? Thank you so much for helping me out.

There's plenty of them on car-part.com. Don't pay their asking price. Not a high demand part.

This is the video I used to replace the gear - if the mirror is folding and lighting up, I would guess it's just needing a new case to put the motor, etc in. You can see how the motor is assembled in the video. :)

Thank you for this video, I will certainly follow this guide to change the mirror. It is very helpful.

Oh, man -- so sorry you are having to deal with this. I also have to replace part of my side mirror due to hitting the side of the garage door while backing out. I'm trying to figure out if the mirror glass itself pops out without having to take the entire thing apart. I only have to replace the cover on mine, not the entire housing. Any advice/experience you can offer would be helpful! PXL_20230131_173314278.MP.webpPXL_20230131_173314278.MP.webp
