  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Guys, I've got an issue with my power driver's seat.:mad::mad:

I adjusted the seat and when I tried to raise and lower the "butt cushion" portion, the rear of the butt cushion would not raise or lower at all. I checked the 30amp fuse under the hood and it was fine.

I'm not hearing a relay click when I move it, so I'm suspecting it might be either the relay or the switch. Has anyone else had this problem?

Had an issue where I moved the seat all the way back and it wouldn't go forward again. Turned car on/off but no luck. Then disconnected the battery and tried again and it started to move. There have been other owners with similar weird seat problems. Hopefully they can chime in with more helpful suggestions.

Interesting you should mention that. I would think pulling that 30amp fuse and reinserting it would be the same thing as doing a battery disconnect, but I'm a real n00b when it comes to these cars. Maybe the module gets its power from elsewhere. Any ideas?

Bumping for update.

Took it to the Hyundai dealership and the motor that drives that tilt function had bitten the dust. It was replaced under warranty.

Because they had to keep the car overnight, they gave me a 2016 Hyundai Sonata Sport as a loaner, which wasn't half bad! It had Android Auto capabilities so I was very impressed with that.

They also did a coolant flush and a fuel-induction system clean.

Thanks for all your help!
