  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2010 3.8 with premium and nav. Is the driver's seat supposed to move back when the ignition is turned off? In my car, the steering wheel elevates but the seat does not move. When the ignition is turned on the steering wheel returns to its preset position. I have seen 2 other Genesis's (Genesi?) in which the seat moves with the ignition, but I don't know what option packages they had.

Never mind - I just found a post stating that easy access is only available with Tech package, which I did not spring for

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
But it is a nice bonus to have at least a 'partial' easy-access feature (the steering wheel moving out of the way). Certainly a nice surprise feature for me in the Premium version...I wasn't expecting it because I'd seen that the 'easy access' was only in Tech pkg.

I actually prefer that the seat not move back, even tho I have the Tech package. OTOH, I an fairly short and do not need additional space.

I have this feature turned off on my tech also.

I find having the steering wheel move up is plenty sufficient...but then I'm tall and don't sit very far forward so my seat is back all the way by default. :-)
