  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Driving Automation

If you must, attack ideas, not people. No personal insults, please. That's what Facebook is for.
Its ok. Feel free to ban me. Ill create a new account (VPN). Ed is obviously brain damaged and giving advice that will damage cars. You dont have a monopoly. genesisforums.com without the space is an alternative. You purposely edit posts automatically when we post that link. What are you afraid of?

I suspect the G90 to debut some next level of automation for the brand. It looks like it has dual ADAS sensors like there German cars that support these more advanced driving features

I still don't get the interest in this level of driving assist. I do appreciate safety features like emergency breaking, in case you get distracted during that critical fraction of a second when the guy ahead of you slams on his brakes. But if you need to stay alert, watching the road continuously and be prepared to take the wheel at any moment, you might as well just be driving yourself (especially if you bought a "driver's car", haha). Not only does it seem silly and more boring to be "almost" driving, I think it's actually harder to stay alert and properly engaged with eyes on the road when you're not actually doing anything. Drivers who get used to letting the car drive itself are far more likely to be distracted or doing other things, and therefore not ready to intervene properly in a moment's notice.
Until we reach a point where I can safely take a nap in the backseat, or read a magazine, until the car delivers me to my destination (level 5 autonomy), count me out. We're not there yet.

But I suppose, as the saying goes, we (the automotive industry and the consumers) have to walk before we run.

Install Comma AI OpenPilot hardware which can be integrated with stock sensors and systems.

Comma openpilot is an open source driver-assistance system. Currently, openpilot performs the functions of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Automated Lane Centering (ALC) for compatible vehicles. It performs similarly to Tesla Autopilot and GM Super Cruise. OpenPilot can steer, accelerate, and brake automatically for other vehicles within its lane.
Is there any material/guide on setting it up for GV70 2023?
