driving lights/fog lights

as you all know, you cant turn on the driving lights unless the headlights are on. Has anyone bypassed this so you can have driving lights on with just the parking lights? I always liked the look.

There's an easy fix for this on the Coupe (and I imagine the Sedan, too), just by changing the grounding pattern of a couple of wires in the steering column - this lets you turn the fog lights on in any combination with the other lights. However, there is NOT an easy way on mine to get the plastic trim off without scratching it, so I have not done the modification, LOL I agree, though, cool look.

It is not easy on the sedan like it is on the coupe.

I know in our GMC Envoy, the headlights are controlled by the BCM, one of the onboard computers, that, prevents the fog lamps from being operated independently of the headlight status (off, hi, or low beam) of the lights. I have not had time to dig into it, as I'd like to do the same thing, but I'm wary of cutting and splicing wires and possibly voiding the warranty in the process...(not like i prob did that when I installed the NAV-TV VIM kit, LoL).
