Put all of that in the title, so hopefully the next person looking for this info can find it.
I searched, and only found (through google search, not the search in the forum) an old post.
Anyone have any RECENT experience with using the new type 1157 'switchback' LED bulbs, in place of the bulbs I have been using/replacing since the 1960's?
The bulb that is both the DRL and also the front turn signal indicator, on my 2015 3.8 AWD. (amber, in MY case)

I have read that a resistor is needed, to prevent the light from blinking 20 times faster than normal/as if you have a blown lightbulb..
(he way the car told me my bulb was blown)
I'm not looking to spend $100 and 3 days on this, to have the brightest lights in town or something......just looking to do this repair ONCE, and thought it might be a simple/inexpensive fix/alternative to the Tom Edison part....
Any help would be appreciated..
Thanks in advance,
Chris
