  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have reviewed all the posts I could locate on the DRL's and been unable to find any specific instructions/pics/video of the removal/replacement procedures.

I can't determine from viewing the lamp connection assembly how to remove it. Please help. Purchased new LEDS need to install. Thanks

Yes I would like a DIY if possible. Especially the wiring part.

thanks!!

EDIT: Don't know if its cause the Genesis Coupe sold more or the Genesis Sedan owners dont mod their cars, but G e n Coupe dot com has much more activity. Especially with the modding stuff. I wrote this DIY removal of the front bumper. Maybe once I order the DRLs, I will post one.

lol remove Genesis and make it G E N COUPE dot com

Wish there was a separate section just for 2015 Genesis Sedan.

Thanks for the follow-up. FYI-The link you provided for the Genesis Coupe link is invalid. What I need is specific directions on what and how to remove the bulb connection unit from the lens housing. It does not appear to just twist/pull out. There are three screws in the outer connection housing. Do these need to be removed? Also, what is the minimum necessary parts to remove to access the passenger side unit?

I dont know if you read what I wrote, but the link is for my old genesis coupe forum. I was just giving an example.

For some reason this site does not let me say G E N COUPE dot com...all together...lol

Again thanks. I was able to finally access the GEN Coupe forum. Couldn't find any useful information relating to 2015 models coupes or sedans. I am still searching.

Through trial and error I have successful removed/installed the DRL's.

As a side note: The LED DRL's I purchased from this site: https://store.ijdmtoy.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=20-344&CartID=1 claiming the bulbs will not hyper flash is not accurate. Both bulbs display hyper flashing in various stages.

Same results, see my post from prior thread:
Did anyone try this already http://www.ebay.com/itm/141534149715...:MEBIDX:IT
The seller says no hyper flash and it is plug-and-play so resistors are not needed and all the "problems" in installing the VLED will be avoided.
Do not buy these. I did, and installed them yesterday. They do not solve the hyper flash issue. They cause an intermittent hyper flash, which is terribly annoying. Think blink - blink - ----blink blink blink - blink - blink. (hope that makes sense )

They do look nice as DRL's fwiw. Thinking I could maybe install a load resistor to solve the intermittent flashing issue?

Thanks. I also had a helluva time getting the supplier to process an RMA. Would never use this supplier again. FYI, tegdim1 your link to the ebay site is broken.
