  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi,

I recently bought a Droid 3 phone. I had an LG Touch before.

I have an 09 Genesis sedan. My LG Touch connected by bluetooth flawlessly.

The Droid 3 drops connection intermittently. When this happens, the nav screen states "connection interrupted". If you try to reconnect - it says connection failed. If you turn off blue tooth on the phone..and turn it back on. You can get the car to reconnect until the next time it drops connection.

If I do not realize that the connection dropped while driving, the call will go to the phone. It thinks it is still connected to blue tooth, so when you answer - you cannot talk to the person. I have found that if I click on speakerphone..and turn it back off - I can then hear the person.

I have called Verizon and Motorola and have gotten no where so far.

There is one other guy on a Droid forum (name: BoaterT - not sure if he is on this forum also) that is having the same problem with this Droid 3 and Genesis.

I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue with their Droid 3. The phone has only been out since mid-July - so it is very new.

Thanks for your help!

Bob

The bluetooth provider for the Genesis has website with latest phone compatibility listings. Check your manuals to find the website address.
