  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi I dropped a small earring in a small tiny bag between my passenger and car seat. I spend hours searching for it but it can't be found. Anyone know where it might have fell into, or have any ideas?

Yes, yes I do know unfortunately.

There's an opening in the floor which houses some of the seat mechanics and it's likely that the earring has fallen into this hole. I lost a USB down there.

If you absolutely need it back, I would inquire with the dealership about removing the seat.

I mean it was in a little plastic back, you think it got down there? isn't that more toward the center of the seat? I thought the bag would prevent it from rolling there.

If you can't see it then I don't know where else it would go. From my recollection, the opening is closer to the console than in the middle but I could be wrong.

I just rechecked (and found a receipt I was looking for lol) and if you move the seat all the way forward, you'll see the opening is quite close to the console, on the driver's side anyway.

Get a shop vac. Clean the shop vac out well. Be sure there is a filter over the discharge. Try and vacuum it up.

That might work if you used a flexible nozzle. The area is so tight, that a hand can barely fit but if you attached something like a paper towel tube to the end of the shop vac nozzle it might be enough to at least draw it out of the hole.
