  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've been downloading a lot of DTS music from the internet. Has anyone figured out how to put this music (digital .wav files) on a usb stick that will play in the Genesis? (I can rip it to a CD, but I want it on a memory stick for obvious reasons. (And no... you just can't copy the files).

download in mp3 at 320 k . I have about 2300 songs on a 16 gig micro cruzer drive that is a great way to store and play music in the Genesis, its so small that it does not get bumped in the console. You can also convert your files to mp3 with free software available online.

I've got thousands of songs in MP3 format on USB sticks, but even at 320K compression you do lose some quality as compared to DTS.

DTS CDs/DVDs will play via the CD/DVD player so you would expect they would also play from a USB memory stick. Just trying to figure out how to do it.

KCross,

You can't...period!
It does not work. I have 100's of DTS music (DVD-A and SACD)
The system is not designed to have them work through the USB port.
I don't think anything exists on the market that can play DTS via USB. (I'm just guessing)

Don't waste your time...just burn them on DVD's and/or CD's and enjoy it that way, I do!

Good luck,

i dont think most system take USB in as DTS or other form of advanced surround input...i havent seen it and i doubt hyundai has it. its usually through disc format or optical/digital input.
