DVD Player- horzontal lines

Hello All, since I received my 4.6 last month, every time I play a dvd or video-cd there are horizontal lines that show up on the screen. I've called my dealer and he said he haven't heard of any firmware fixes for something like that. I don't think there's anything wrong with the screen, works fine in DIS mode. Your help is much appreciated.

I've tried a brand new DVD (Superman Returns) and burnt cd's/dvd's same problem.

Are you trying to use a BlueRay or other HD DVD (which aren't compatible with the Lex)? Other than that possibility, the DVD player may be defective and need replacement. Surprised your dealer didn't think of that...not!

Can we get a better description of the lines? Is it:

A. A solid line across the screen that moves from bottom to top while you are watching,

B. Fixed horizontal lines across the screen that don't move (how many).

C. Multiple lines that scroll upwards at a consistent rate?

D. Any color to these lines?

Sorry for the late response folks. I tried taking pics of the screen, without prevail. I did manage to take a 4mb video clip which i'll be more that happy to email one of you guys, to post it here for me. The video clip is a scene from superman returns original copy brand new.

Also with all my DVD movies I simply cannot click play the system dvd player keep repeating the first opening ads or fbi warning in a loop without taking me to the main screen. So in order to play the dvd I have to wait till the main menu appears then click on scenes and go from there. Thank you for you help in advance.
