easy entry seat stopped working

I noticed the other day that the easy entry seat feature (moves seat back when car turns off/moves back up when turning car on) has stopped working. I checked the settings and it is still activated, so I tried inactivating and reactivating it and still no luck.

Has anyone else had this issue and/or been able to fix it?

Its not a huge deal so I will have the dealer look at it during my next oil change but thought I would ask around here first.

Does the seat still move with the controls? What if you use memory position 2?

Can the seat still recline? I heard of this situation before and was told to check the switch first. The dealer will probably throw in changing the switch and motor and perhaps a few other things.

Yes the seat still moves with the controls. Though I am not positive that I checked reclining but I will. I will also check using memory position 2 as well.

If the seat moves, try resetting the memory position and see if that changes anything.

There is a reset procedure for the seat memory in section 3 of the owners manual. Might be worth a try...

It did not work by simply programming the 2nd memory slot.

I will try this and re-set them both to see if that works, thanks for pointing out where to find the instructions too!
