  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I tried searching for this, and can't find anything, so I decided to ask. I have the '09 sedan, and got my software updated a while ago. Well, I just got a new phone and I was pairing it with the car, and it worked fine. I was even able to sync my phone book with the phone book in the car. However, I wanted to edit some of the names to what I am used to using when I use the voice commands.
When I go into edit for the respective entry, I am able to edit the name, number, and what the default number should be. But, there is no way to save the edit. I can't go back to the main phone screen, and if I try to go to a different screen, such as XM, or map, it doesn't save the changes. Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

If it's tech optioned with a DIS system the "Back" button is sort of like an enter button in this respect that action saves the entry and takes you back one step.

I didn't know we could sync the phone numbers in the 09 model. Is yours the Tech package?

The back button is greyed out. I can only go up or down, or edit. It will not let me go back to save. I can not use a voice command either.

It's not on-screen "Back " button but the DIS controller physical "Back" button.

I found the back button, it is above the DIS wheel. I'm sure I used it before, and just forgot about it, since it's not something that I use every day. Anyway, that worked, all is fine with the world now. :)
