  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

X-pipe: We are continuing the X-pipe build with cut-outs. Previous change not to do so was premature, as our alignment still requires this labor intensive fabrication to be done. The X-pipe is the hardest part of our build and it takes a skilled welder to make this part perfect. I was trying to save cost initially by not doing X-pipe. So, we continue the high quality fit and finish with proper X-pipe for air flow. This allows for easy disconnect and reconnect of your electronic exhaust system back. In comparison to other full system exhaust upgrades, I think $2300 is on the money for what we are offering, but I know it's still expensive to some. I will work with you anyway I can.

Hi All,

First post and I wanted to know if this thread died? I am very interested in Andy's set-up and read others were going to do the same set-up. Did anyone else do the set-up? If so, how did it work out? Thanks...

Still waiting on the video with sound...

I warn you, if you watch it, you will want these…

(link posted in thread a few times)

I suggest investment casting the X-pipe + Cutout portion you'll get a much better price point and much better results.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
So it sounds like it was concluded that the X-pipe is the way to go for a number of reasons? I'm having my shop give me an estimate for this work.

Hi everyone. My last electronic exhaust kit has sold. My new job comes w/ company car, which means I am selling the Rspec. Since I use my own car for quality & fitment specs on every kit we make, this means I won't have my Rspec to base future builds off of.

If interested in the electronic valves kit assembly, I can have them dropped shipped to your door for $800(discounted). Your installer or exhaust shop can fabricate the welds necessary.

Thank you all for great feedback.

where did you order the kit you originally used? Believe I read it was $450? I can do the fabrication myself so that's all I need.

So if I installed this and a decent CAI, do you think I'd get r-spec performance out of my 4.6?
I believe the OP Commented that the results on the dyno were an increase in 30+ hp and similar numbers for torque.

I doubt it. A cut off on this car is more for novelty than anything else. You might see a small gain from running both, but it won't be very big at all.

91 octane. No additives.

From stock baseline dyno, I have gained 33hp to the wheels.
Mods: CAI & this exhaust. Not bad gains at the wheels.

Do you think most of that is due to CAI?

Doubt a CAI will do much. I'd like to see your dyno. Usually where one gains power, you'll typically lose it in other areas of the powerband.

That's not my dyno (I should have quoted it). That's from the OP.

OP: sold the Rspec, but got the wife a Santa Fe Limited. Any exhaust or CAI interest for the Santa Fe? :-)

Sold my personal electronic exhaust valve kit to a new Rspec owner.

Correctly stated above, any HP gains were from CAI and rear cat deletes. The exhaust was sound only. The X-pipe was to retain torque and flow. W/O it, you might lose some torque.

I am very happy with Hyundai and enjoyed all the new friends with Rspec owners. I have taken my LLC in a different direction.
