  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Electric GV70

The car starting to creep when you lift off the brake probably relates to the regen level you're on.

Dealer called today saying they expect the car to arrive early next week. I'm going to miss the GV80,.
Yeah if it's in iPedal regen the car will come to a complete stop without hitting the brake pedal and stay there until you touch the accelerator. That's what I drive in the most.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Nice. Did the dealer charge much extra for the protective cover on the hood? It will save a lot of time waxing like the rest of us do.
It's matte paint, Ed. No waxing permitted!!

I figured it out, I had accidentally depressed the Auto Hold button...!

Picked up our GV70EV in April...already have 6,500 miles on it - drove it from Texas to California. Regular gas is almost $5.00/gal out west...so I'm really loving the 3 years of included EA charging. The car is black exterior with white interior. The only problem I've had is sometimes the app times out when issuing a command to the car - like unlocking or starting climate. But, it hasn't happened in about a week...so maybe somehow fixed (fingers crossed). Relatively quiet and smooth ride - probably a little quieter than our ex-Audi Q7 and smoother ride than the Q7. The acceleration seems quicker than my 2015 C7 Corvette - plenty fast for us. On long trips, we felt comfortable going about 200 miles on a charge - greatly impacted by hilly terrain. A lot less interior room compared to our Q7. Putting the front seats in a comfortable position seems to really impact backseat leg room. I think if we still had kids in the house, this backseat would not work for us. Other than the occasional remote app access problem...the car has been faultless - everything just works. It's my Wife's main car and she loves it - she is not a techie person...so I was really proud of how fast she adopted to regen braking and now she uses regen braking all the time (lvl 3...not i-Pedal). My biggest concern is dealership service. We have a combined Hyundai/Genesis dealership in Houston and when I called to get something looked at...a 2 month wait. They are scheduled to open the Genesis standalone dealership later this year...so I'm hoping service level meets my Genesis expectations.... we'll see. This is our first EV. Any questions...let me know. Dave

Reading charging issues with GV70, and softward updates just makes the problems worse? Any issues out there with Canadian version?

I haven't experienced any problems yet (fingers crossed). What kinds of issues are you seeing?
Ours has been perfect too. Took delivery Apr 15.

No issues here
My only issue is with my home charger that woukd stop charging, but switching the car setting from Lock while charging to Do not lock solved it, quick workaround. Otherwise works really good!

After 2 months and about 2700 KM, no issues to report. It is a wonderful vehicle. I love the power and enjoy the regenerative braking. I leave it in the 50% regen and it is great to drive. So smooth and just use the brakes to come to the final stop.

I went to Edmonton to pick up my daughter's Mercedes and stopped at the Genesis dealership on July 8th to test drive the EGV70, and I immediately fell in love with this car. I put in a deposit as soon as I got home.
I finally picked up the car on Aug 1ST. I test-drove a Tesla Model Y, Audi Q4 e-tron, and Volvo EV. Nothing comes close to Genesis.
I like the EGV70 specifically because it doesn't look like EV.

Awesome! Congrats on the new car. What car did your daughter buy at Mercedes?

Thank you! She bought the CLA250

I like the CLA250, especially in hatchback form. As for the eGV70, I love how it completely catches almost everybody off guard as they think "oh, it's just a normal family car", only to be shocked when there's virtually no way to keep up with it. I particularly enjoy the fact that you can activate Boost mode but the 10 seconds don't start counting down until you hit the throttle. No launch control on any of my sports cars ever allowed you to just sit there in launch mode for so long.

Last week I was sitting at a traffic light next to a Range Rover. I was on the left lane, and as soon as the light turned green, I started to move a bit fast so I could go to the right to make a right turn at the next signal light, but the RR driver started to speed up and not wanted to change lane. I quickly put in the sport mode and left him in the dust :). I'm sure he was surprised. It wouldn't happen if I were driving Tesla or another EV that disclosed the vehicle's identity. lol

Do any of my fellow Canadian eGV70 owners have an electronic copy of the owner's manual? I couldn't find it on the Canadian Genesis website.
