  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Yesterday morning I went out to the 2011 4.6 and door locks didn't respond to key fob or door handle sensor press. Tried several times each. Then used physical key to get in, sat down and hit the ignition button as usual. No response after several tries. Placed key fob in holder, and hit ignition. After about five seconds of delay, the car starts up but DIS totally unresponsive -- No Hyundai logo, no anything. Able to drive, and everything else appears to function other than the above.

Anyone seen anything like this? The car was like this again this morning, so my gut feeling is it isn't going away without help. Before I take it into the shop, just want to see if I can draw on the knowledge of the board here and maybe help steer the repair shop in the right direction. :-)

Thanks in advance for any info you guys can provide!!

I'd change the fob battery before doing anything else. Mine was giving me issues after the dealer did the brake light recall. After I switched the fob battery I haven't had a single issue with it since. If that works for you then you should do a reset to your car.

+1 on changing your key fob battery. ALSO - open your driver door and locate the fuse panel on the drivers-side dash. Remove the panel and ensure your master fuse is snug in its base. The master fuse is yellow, or at least surrounded in yellow marking.

Yes!! The darned 30A fuse had wiggled its way out. Wow, very good suggestion, and thanks for saving me the trip to the dealership!!

:D :)

By the way, had the fob battery been dead I would have expected to see the "key not in car" message or whatever -- But did not see this.

I know this is an old post but after some bad weather, my car's 30a fuse in the yellow surround had "wiggled" out too. We had some bad weather so I figured it was something else wrong but this was it. Thank you so much for making my headache short lived too!!!! :D
