  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone noticed a disparity between the range quoted on the App, and the range quoted on the display on the instrument cluster, in my car it can be as much as 20 miles.
I’m wondering if it’s connected with average consumption values.
By the way according to the trip computer, the car is averaging 3.3 miles per kWh (imperial).

You mean in the app, under the EV tab? I think you need to click on the refresh icon at the top right to get it to update. It use to update each time you opened the app but now you need to refresh it manually.

Does the app show the avg miles per kwh?

The App is showing 3.4 miles per pWh, which is based on the average of the last months driving.
The battery is currently charged to 90%, which given the total battery capacity is 87.7 kWh would suggest there is approximately 79 kWh of energy stored. When you look at the range displayed in the car it shows 265 miles which more or less equates to the average of 3.4 displayed in the App. However according to the App even after refreshing it optimistically quotes 285 mile range, which sort of suggests an average of 3.6miles per kWh.
If you can follow my explanation, I'm thinking if I reset the average trip computer, the range in the car should go back to closer the optimistic range shown on the App.
Also throw into the mix, here in the UK we work on Imperial as opposed to the U.S which works on federal, meaning your calculation of a mile is I believe shorter than ours!
Anyway hopefully this makes some sense, and as I say i suspect the App calculation for range is based on a different theoretical average miles per kWh, than the car which shows a range calculated on how the car is driven and the resulting miles per kWh.
If you can follow all of that, you're a better man than me :))

@Keith S can you post a screenshot of where it shows the average miles per kwh in the app? I do not see it.

On the front page at the bottom is a category called ‘Charging/Energy’. Click on that and then select the second option from the menu on the page that appears. That will show you the page below. It seems to gather data over the precede month, as well as show details of your last journey.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
So weird, I don't have that at all, this is what I see:

In fact I think that is the case. I tried clicking on your link, and it says it’s not available in my region.
It’s probably worth mentioning the set up of the Genesis brand across the UK and Europe, only began about eighteen months ago, and they are sold as a stand alone brand, without a dealer network. All sales and after sales are handled by Genesis directly as a premium operation with collection and delivery via transporter and free servicing and warranty for five years. There is no association with Hyundai at any stage, and all contact with Genesis is either online or via your appointed personal assistant. I suppose it’s all to underline the premium message. So maybe it extends to the App available as well.

So interesting.... Thank you for those details.
Pleasure! To give you some idea of scale of operation, there are four ‘studios’ where you can see a Genesis for the whole of Western Europe!!! Two in the UK (both in London) one in Switzerland and one in Germany! The idea is, if you’re interested they bring a car to you. If nothing else, it makes the whole Genesis brand ultra exclusive, as your unlikely to see another one on the road! Most mistake my G80 for a Bentley or Aston Martin… given the chief stylist for Genesis was the ex chief stylist at Bentley, who am I to disappoint!!! :))
Good to chat to you…
