  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Electrified GV70 hitting the market...thoughts?

I was actually waiting to put a deposit down for a GV70e since I absolutely love the way the GV70 looks on the outside. However, after I started looking at the GV60 closer, I started to appreciate the interior layout more than the GV70. I'm not a fan of the iPad-like placement of the main screen compared to the GV60's screen being integrated with the main dash. Just personal preference but I can't deny that the GV70 is gorgeous!

I test drove the base $66k GV70e this weekend. It basically drives the same as the GV60 Performance in terms of responsiveness, ride quality and steering feel. It does feel a little bigger, and a smidge heavier, so it’s not as easy to maneuver in tight spots. I thought the GV60 Performance was just about perfect but I just couldn’t warm up to the styling personally. The GV70e addresses that IMO in a vehicle that basically drives just as well. I do like the more “bespoke” looking interior of the GV70 even though the infotainment screen placement is compromised if you use the touch screen functionality. I feel like the value proposition currently is better in the base GV70e with 483hp at $66k minus the $7500 tax credit which applies for now (could change.) I’m considering buying one.

For wife and I the GV60 is perfect size. A bit big really, the GV70 would be entirely too big and is heavier as others have mentioned. The interior is nice but I think I will wait till Gewnesis releases something along the lines of a smallish sedan EV before I upgrade my wife's Elantra Hybrid Limited.

I really wanted this car but didn't want to wait so I got the gv60. Now I love the info screen directly behind the steering wheel (Mainly the map mode and widgets) and you don't get that in the 70. You just get a fancy digital cluster and the other screen on the dash is too far forward. Very pretty inside though.
