  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

yea well once i drain it from the A/V module and squeeze it from the floormats i'll do that. thanks...

I got it off. new module on ebay about a hundred bucks if its fubar. not as bad as i was expecting

I took a plastic prying tool and got the main console out, removed the shift knob (this was the hardest part) so the console panel could be taken from the car entirely. I then separated the DIS from the console panel by removing 4 philips head screws underneath. This gave me access to the DIS unit's 8 T8 torx screws to separate the housing and I then cleaned the board, switches, and housing completely with electrical parts cleaner, q-tips, and a lint-free microfiber cloth. Re-installed and all is good.
